Process of Meditation: Ask and It is Given

In continuation with the 22 processes given by Esther and Abraham in their book, Ask and It Is Given, today I introduce to you the process of meditation. Most of us are familiar with the practise of meditation. Meditation is an ancient Eastern tradition, which has gained considerable popularity in the West over the past few years.

Generally speaking, meditation is a process whereby we give our mind some rest. According to the Health and Yoga website, Meditation means ‘a cessation of the thought process’.

Why would we need to withdraw from thinking? Often when we want something, we become obssessed by this desire to the degree that our own thinking gets in the way of the manifestation of the desire. We often try to work out every detail of how things should manifest, and of course by so doing we limit manifestation to what we know. We do not allow for the natural flow to unfold but rather become so attached to the outcome, and of course attachment is based on fear and doubt.

To allow for the manifestation process we need to be in a state of detachment. When we are detached, we do not worry, we are in effect in a state of knowing that all is being taken care off. When we are detached, we have total confidence that a Higher Power is more than capable to fulfill our desire.

This is a place we should aim to be, and of course meditation is able to take us to this place. During meditation we let go, we rest, we do not resist, we embrace and we simply allow.

In the words, of Jerry and Esther,

“This is not a process where you work on your desires, but instead, this is

one of quieting your mind. As you do so, any resistance will subside, and your state of vibration will rise to its natural, pure state.”

This is a state of allowing where, for just a few moments, you

stop running the show. You stop trying to make anything happen.

This is the time when you are saying to your Source Energy, to your

Inner Being, to your GOD (or whatever you want to call it): Here I

am, in a state of allowing. I’m allowing Source Energy to flow purely

through me.

Fifteen minutes of effort will change your life because it will

allow the Energy that is natural to you to flow.

I have found that each time after meditation, I feel fresh and my thinking is much clearer and I am more centered. I feel that I should do it more, and certainly recommend this process from Jerry and Esther.

This is something I need to learn to do in the middle of my work day. I tend to obsess over what I want or need, but this is a good reminder to just…let go.

Dont we all Carla? I once listened to Deepak Chopra and he shared an exercise which can help heighten our awareness during the day. The exercise is pretty simple and involves just taking a short pause in the midst of our daily tasks and paying attention to everything around us. The pause is for about 30 seconds, and during this time, you feel your feet on the ground and become aware of what is around you. It’s a simple exercise but I have found that it has helped heighten my awareness during the day.

    Hi Sharon :)

Thank you honey for reminding me about the power of meditation. I used to do it in the past and perhaps if I returned to it right now, it will help me deal with the pain I am experiencing due to the loss of my beloved cat Furby.

I have books by Dr. Dyer and think he’s a fabulous human being.

    Take care…

    Peace, Love, Understanding and Respect,

    Marilyn
