Today, I am honored to introduce to you a man who dedicated his life to help others help themselves. Even though, this great man passed away in 2003, he left a life changing heritage of books. The man I am talking about is Eric Butterworth.
Eric Butterworth is the author of 16 best selling books on metaphysical spirituality. If you have ever read Butterworth’s books, am sure you would agree with me in saying that his works are nothing short of outstanding and inspirational. In fact, many have often referred to him as the ‘Twentieth century Emmerson’. Through is books he shared very powerful principles, with one main message, ‘We have the power within ourselves, to change our own life’.
Butterworth was a great theologian and writer. Eric Butterworth’s book; “Discover the Power Within You: A Guide to the Unexplored Depths” has been one of his best selling books and has impacted the lives of many. As the title suggests, this book will awaken you to the power that you have. Butterworth writes, “The great wisdom of the ages still lies locked in the depths of man’s mental capacity, the great possibility of health and healing and eternal life still lies undiscovered in the depths of man’s inner life, and the great key to success and opulence still lies within man’s undiscovered potential.”
The basis of the philosophy of Eric Butterworth is that the purpose of life is to live it to the fullest and share the love of God to all. Butterworth approached spirituality from a metaphysical point, with great inspirational teachings to reform, recreate and also exalt. One of his most popular statements was “You can change the world by altering your thoughts”. Such words are not only empowering but are also life changing in that they awaken us to the power within.
Eric Butterworth’s book Celebrate Yourself is another thought provoking masterpiece, an anthology of timeless teachings, to change the thought processes of individuals, effecting infallible results. Indeed, the philosophy of Eric Butterworth was result oriented, enforcing the renewing of the mind through theology, philosophy and metaphysical spirituality.
In ‘Celebrate Yourself ‘, Eric Butterworth teaches that just as we are, we are powerful creators and as such we should appreciate or celebrate ourselves. Eric Butterworth writes, “I am secure, for I know who I am: a richly endowed child of God. I am secure in all I do, for I know my oneness with the divine process. I am secure in all I have, for I know my treasure is in my mind, not in my things. I live my life from day to day as if God’s supportive substance were as exhaustless and dependable as the air I breathe, which it most certainly is.” Mmm this makes me feel so at peace.
Butterworth also authored a book titled, Spiritual Economics. Like many people you may wander what Spirituality has to do with Economics, but here is what one reader says, “Spiritual Economics is based on the spiritual laws and dynamics of abundance. One of the key elements of this books that raise it above a lot of spiritual law type writings is how practical this book is. Eric Butterworth tackles some very complex dynamics in a very pragmatic, understandable way.” If you want to see abundance in your life then reading Spiritual Economics
is recommended.
This little piece of writing only served to introduce to you one of the greatest authors of metaphysical spirituality. My take is that Butterworth’s writings are nothing less than inspiring, uplifting, invigorating and ultimately life-changing. If you are hungry for profound knowledge, if you are hungry for inspiration and if you ultimately want to continue to grow and be successful, then explore Butterworth’s writings.
To conclude, I leave you with a few words from the man himself, “Believe that you are always in the presence of limitless substance which you form and shape and release through your faith. Keep the high watch of Truth by knowing that, wherever you are and whatever your experience, you are an inlet and may become an outlet for the flow of God-substance.”
